A tribute to the Rockfish, who lives in the Chesapeake Bay watershed and migrates to the Atlantic Ocean. Also called a Striped Bass, it is known for its size and fighting ability. It is considered one of the premier sport species on the bay. The rockfish has an olive green back, fading to light silver on its side and a white underside. the hallmark is seven to eight dark, continuous stripes running from head to tail.
Joe Barsin's design and Illustration work has been recognized in prestigious annual award competitions including "Print" magazine, "Communication Arts", "Graphic Design: USA", "American Institute of Graphic Artists". His illustrations have been showcased in three editions of the Adobe Illustrator Bible and he has given lectures on computer graphic Illustration. In 2004, Joe illustrated Maryland's Bay Plate, the state car license plate that "Treasure the Chesapeake". Joe is originally from Akron, Ohio, and grew up loving art. He was fortunate to have traveled extensively with his family while a child and experienced art and culture all throughout Europe.
