About Joe Barsin

Joe Barsin Joe Barsin's design and Illustration work has been recognized in prestigious annual award competitions including "Print" magazine, "Communication Arts", "Graphic Design: USA", "American Institute of Graphic Artists" and others. His illustrations have been showcased in the Adobe Illustrator Bible, issues 9, 10 and CS2 and he has been invited to give lectures on computer Illustration. In 2004, Joe illustrated Maryland's "Treasure the Chesapeake" state license plate.

Joe is originally from Akron, Ohio, and grew up loving art. He was fortunate to have traveled extensively with his family while a child and experienced art and culture all throughout Europe. He studied Graphic Design at Kent State University, which is recognized among the top-ranked Communications Design Schools in the U.S. During the program, he was given the opportunity to live and study abroad in Florence, Italy. He also worked for design firms in Cleveland, Ohio and New York City. After graduating with honors and earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1992, Joe moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he began his career working at a fashion-based advertising firm then went on to gain experience at various design and advertising agencies in Baltimore, Annapolis, MD, Alexandria, VA and Washington, D.C. In 1998, he and his wife Eva launched their own design firm, JEB Design, Inc. They continue to enjoy working from home and spending time with their two boys, Robby and James.

Joe continues to work many hours in design but finds the greatest pleasure when creating digital illustrations. His goal is to expand his collection to include numerous illustrations of popular locations and landscapes from around the world. He welcomes commissions and is always open to suggestions for themes.
